The Global Pencil Project helps organizations and schools serve young people by equipping them with pencils – one of the essential tools of learning. With the help of donors across the country, this organization has already placed 5 million pencils (and other educational materials) in the hands of children who might otherwise do without. Nearly half of these are in the United States, with the balance in Africa, India and elsewhere.
