Brennen Elementary School hosts a back-to-school Meet & Mingle event for all Brennen families. Children are welcome to attend! This event allows families the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher and bring in the requested school supplies for the classroom before school begins.

Open House is a parent only event. Parents will hear from their child’s teacher, learn what to expect in the school year ahead, and find out ways to support their child’s learning. If parents would like to schedule a conference to discuss their individual child with their teacher, please contact their teacher.
In an effort to lessen the congestion of everyone arriving to Brennen at the same time, we are using staggered sessions. This will also help accommodate families who may need to visit multiple teachers.

SESSION 1: 5:30 – 5:50PM in the Cafeteria
COGAT/AAP/STAR Session (This optional session is targeted for parents of students in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades, but others may join if they would like to learn more about assessments or advanced classes.
SESSION 2: 5:55 – 6:15PM
Class Meetings for Pre-K – 2nd Grades Only
SESSION 3: 6:20 – 6:40PM
Option 1 – Class Meetings for Pre-K – 5th Grade
Option 2 – Class Meetings for 3rd – 5th Grades
Option 3 – COGAT/AAP/STAR Session (This session is targeted for parents of students in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades, but others may join if they would like to learn more about assessments or advanced classes (Location: Cafeteria).
SESSION 4: 6:45 – 7:05PM
Class Meetings for 3rd – 5th Grades Only
The Brennen PTO will be set up to sell merchandise and answer questions about volunteering.
