VIP = Very Important Person. Our children’s grandparents can be the most wonderful resource, both to us as parents, and to our kids. This event is a great time to remind ourselves of what grandparents mean to us, and to celebrate with them. It is also an opportunity for grandparents to visit classrooms and see their grandkids in this special environment. We always encourage children whose grandparent(s) can’t attend to “borrow” a special friend or VIP for the day. The VIP will be invited to share memories of their own school days and benefit from the opportunity to get to know one another better.
